National Socialist Congress officially launched
Ghana’s biggest political party formed by socialists and student activists of Ghanaian descent, the National Socialist Congress has officially been launched, and the party logo unveiled.
On Sunday, the 3rd of April, 2022, the long wait was brought to an end as the leaders and members of the National Socialist Congress converged at the Ghana Institute of Journalism, L.H1.1 to launch the party that is dedicated to drastically plummeting the existing dispensation of corruption, misappropriation, underdevelopment, poverty, joblessness, illiteracy and suffering through the equitable and effective use of Ghana's human, capital and natural resources.
The occasion was graced with the presence of special guests, Dr. Kobby Mensah, a Political Marketing Analyst and Mr. Dominic Asitanga, a lecturer and researcher, who gave outstanding speeches motivating and supporting the party on its set course.
Dr. Kobby Mensah applauded the NSC for choosing the ‘socialist’ path, urging them to ensure that their ideology is reflected in all their activities. He also commended the party for bold choice of colors, making reference to how each color speaks clearly of socialism.
Mr. Dominic Asitanga also said, “This is a great start and everything put in place so far looks great. The party came with a strong name, strong colors and to top it, a strong and plausible ideology behind it all. I am very honored to have been invited to witness the launch of the National Socialist Congress and I wish you all the best”.
Speaking at the launch was the Communications Director of the National Socialist Congress, Mr Festus Sefa Sedofia who explained each of the party colors and the party logo as well. “The cocoa harvesting knife and hammer in the logo represents the working class and peasantry while the wreaths of grains also represent agriculture.
About our colors, red is universally associated with socialism and it represents vigor and courage, white signifies purity truth and uprightness, black which represents power, signifies our quest to win power and gold signifies triumph. Essentially, NSC as a party is represented by these colors because we are strong advocates for accountability and truth and we value courage and vigor as we are committed to triumphing in our endeavors.”
He further urged Ghanaians to rally behind the NSC as it is the only party committed to defending the interest of people through policies and programs that will tackle the alarming rate of inequality in Ghana, as well as lay premium on the needs of the people unlike the existing order where the desire for profit and greed overrides the welfare of the ordinary Ghanaian.
